My bike (Santa Cruz Blur) started squeaking... really bad. Yesterday on my way to the gym I stopped in at the bike shop hoping they could take a look and toss some Tri-flow onto the squeaky part (or whatever) but they were too busy. They can't take a look at it until Tuesday.
Meanwhile, I have a group ride on Saturday, and that squeak is going to drive one of us to a homicide. It's so loud!!
The shop guys seemed to think it was the bearings in the pivots, so that when the rear suspension compresses, the "joints" squeak. They said Santa Cruz was notorious for cheap bearings. (Ouch.) Does anyone (PLEASE!!) have some kind of fix or idea I can look into to silence the squeak for the Saturday ride? Then I'll take it to the shop and have a pro check it out.
