I have a new (2001 mongoose) sandvik Titanium cyclocross frame w/disc mounts. The rear is spaced at 130mm but I want to run a 135mm mountain disc hub on it. I was wondering if I am putting the frame under a lot of stress? ( I weigh 155 lbs) and do I risk cracking the welds or damaging the frame at all even though it is Ti?. I want to be able to run mountain disc hubs so the Velomax Sagitta wheels are not an option for me even though I know that they are spaced at 130mm. Any suggetions ?

Not so much damaging the frame, but the chainline will be pretty off.

Why do you want to run mtn disc hubs if you don't have disc tabs? Trying to put a fixed cog on the disc bolts?
