Hi Joe,

There seems to be alot of chat about old bikes, both road and MTB, and I was wondering if it was worthwhile having a sub forum for Retro Bikes.

What do you and anyone else for that matter think?

Cheers mate

Rich :D

I would love it, may also get some of the
Classic Rendezvous listers here too (Richard Sachs,
Brian Baylis, Sheldon Brown to name a few).
I'm also posting this to push it back to the top.
So Joe, what'da ya think?

Marty

Sounds good to me, just we just call the forum "Retro Bikes"? If somebody comes up with the name, and a short description of the forum, i'll create it.

theres a lot of us ride older bikes as they are more afford able but we like to keep them in top condition so a retro/classic bike thread would be a great idea, collective knowledge, a great tool. :)

Hi Joe,

'retro' means backward. Many cyclists, including me, consider that an insult. Classic/Vintage would be a better title.

my old bike is an "Avanti"( Sprint) .I believe avanti means to go forward so my retro Avanti Sprint bike is a backward ,forward running bike !!
