Hello,

I have a low end RST fork and I know it. My question is though, what kind of a drop can I put on this thing before it bottoms out? It only has like a 63 travel.

Depends on how big you are. I can flatten one of those dropping off a curb

well my rst 281 hasn't bottomed out yet... the only thing wrong with it after about 5 years and endless thrashing is it is somewhat sticky and is soft... I'm surprised at how long it's lasted considering how big my brother is and how hard he thrashed it, then getting passed on to me and then me thrashing the hell out of it.

Just increase the size of the drop each time until it bottoms. Then you will know. I for one would bottom it out just by sitting on it :D

You might be able to bottom it out by just sitting on it after eating a couple of Double CheeseBurgers.

63mm isn't a whole lot of travel, Man....

Yea, it wouldnt take much for me to bottom that either, i bet you can just push down on it while at a stop and bottom it with no prob...63 really isnt that much

I can't bottom out my rst anymore... I could when it was new though. I try not to land really front heavy if possible, makes for a rougher landing even if the fork absorbs a bit.
