Mountain Biking - What do you guys think of me getting this?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

33 lbs. isn't bad IMO....
Jamis makes good bikes & that bike has a good component package.
Manitou forks are cheaper than 'Zocchi, that's why alot of Seller's have them on their bike's in '05....
If the price is right, go 4 it....

The fork sucks. http://pinkbike.com/modules/photo/?op=view&image=388918
That is what happens.

a couple rides ago, i rode with someone on one of those. looked damn sweet. parts spec is nice and the frame looks pretty tough. don't know how it levels up to the p2, but i'm pretty sure it'll be able to handle a lot of different types of riding.
about the fork, i wouldn't exactly use pinkbike as a measure for stuff like that. a lot of the guys on there are real abusive to their parts. plus, the fork spec'd on the bike is the stance flow, whereas the fork in the picture is a stance static, according to what it says... .

Jamis makes great stuff, I'd definitely look into it.
