Hi. I live in the Atlanta suburbs, and haven't ridden for 5 years. I'm out of shape, but have a goal to eventually do the 9 mile commute to work. I'm ridding an old Gary Fisher Wahoo which I'll probably wear out getting myself back into shape, then I'll check out the road bikes. Anyways, I'm excited to get back into cycling after a LONG time off.

Welcome to BikeForums from another HOTlantan. The are lots of Atlanta area folks here.

I live in Decatur and commute to the Va-Highland area.
On the weekends (when I have some free time :crash: ) I ride from home to Stone Mountain and do a few laps and head home. If you ride out this way I'd be glad to have some company. Just be merciful with me. ;)

Welcome to the forums from another cyclist in the Atlanta suburbs. Which suburbs do you call home?

It'd probably be the other way around.... I'm WAY out of shape, but hopefully, after a few months, that will be different ;)

Trying?? What's stopping you? I see the line under your avatar says no bike yet. I hope that minor detail isn't holding you back. ;) There are lots of nice folks here with great advice to get you started.
