I have a vintage jeunet bike and destroyed my suntour VGT luxe Derailer , It has 5 sprockets in the back and 2 in the front. I have had bike for 30 years . Does anyone have a replacement that they could drop in mail or know any where I could get one. Sheldon Brown was out. I would like to keep it authentic. Thanks Nick

E-Bay should have some available in various states of newness or you might check local thrift stores for a donor bike since that derailleur was produced in large quantities.

Nick,

I have one - rear only though. The owner of my LBS gave it to me a few weeks ago, but I didn't actually need it for what I thought I would. It is well worn and coul use some cleaning, and except for it missing the little clamp that grabs onto the cable (which you probably could transplant from yours), it seems to be in working order. Send me a personal message if you want me to send it to you. Yours for the cost of shipping (postage + box [if I don't have a suitable one laying around]).

Z

No. Z is not el twe. Z was taught in his uncle's bike shop to ride Raleighs. el twe grew up riding Schwinns. Slight difference. :D

Nick, just take the return address off the box, and send me whatever you see as the amount of postage on the package. Haven't raced any buggys yet. Also haven't gotten to any swaps yet. Something always seems to come up. Maybe this fall though.

Nick, Sorry for the delay - was out of town last week. I put it in the mail on Tuesday. Priority mail was 10 cents more than parcel post, so you should get it tomorrow or Saturday. You can look on the upper right hand portion of the screen where it says Private Messages. Click on it and you should see a couple notes I sent to you. Basically, all I'm asking is postage - as neither the box nor the derailleus cost me anything.

What I meant about (USA)Zorro was that he has some nice old SunTour derailluers. He offered me one, but I found some Campy :D...
