Do any of you have a Giant Trance 1? If so, can you tell me the weight?
I'm shopping and I don't think lbs has one on the shelf. I'm heading there now though, just to check out a few things.

Don't know, but over at www.mtbr.com a couple people have complained that the "weight" was a weakness.

Thanks. Looks like a couple owners said that. The dealer here called Giant and they said it is about 1.5-2 lb heavier than the carbon NRS which I think comes in at 25 or just under. I guess makers don't publish weights because some might fabricate numbers.
I see one guy at
http://www.mtbr.com/reviews/xc_full_suspension/product_124713.shtml built one up with this frame to weigh 25.5 lb.

I did ride a trance 2 and NRS aluminum. The Maestro suspension is definately cushier and those reviewers seem to think it climbs great.
I think it will be hard to choose the NRS comp 1, even though it's lighter.

I see my questions have been asked and answered before. And I am still on the cusp of a decision NRS vs Trance.
Lots of factors to consider.
