Longtime lurker registered at last.
Going back: Firstly some Schwinn bomber pulled from weeds and spiffed with unnatural drop handlebars, later a Follis ten-speed ('too fast' for its original owner, years later I left it behind at college). Since 86, an 86 USA cast-lugs Trek steel roadie plus (recently) a 69 Raleigh Sports commuter.
Returned to riding last year after a few years of the all-too-common lower back problems (twas bamboo did it), plus a couple years of baffling disinterest. Looking at new old gear and hopefully a few more miles - nowadays my local course is a flat 26 or so miles. Got to get on the hills!
