the place where the rear derailer screws into or onto the bike, what is that called??? i think its the the bottom bracket?? but it stripped and im pissed off, i need help, where can i order them off of the web??

The place that the rear der. threads into is called the der. hanger. If you have an alu. frame with a replaceable one chances are you can get another one. If is is a steel frame take it to a LBS and have them fix it. If it is a Ti. frame take it to your LBS.

god im stupid, so its a derailer hanger? koool its an aluminum frame and its replaceable, but where can i find one

its a 1999 gary fisher marlin its a hard-tail

Are you sure it is stripped? The nut inside of the frame will spin making it feel like it's stripped. It can be held from the back side with a large screwdriver. Just a thought.

yeah there is no nut, i went to my lbs and orded one so itll be here in two days
