Commuting - Jitehsha Ebisu frames - anyone?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Hello,
I am planning on building a nice commuting/touring bike. I noticed that Jitensha studio makes some really nice Ebisu frames. Does anyone have experience with those? how would you compare them to Rivendell Atlantis?
Thanks

I'm in the same boat as you stric - I just posted a similar question on the classic/vintage forum here.

Well, off the bat, my observations are that the Atlantis is the heavy duty tourer and the Ebisu is the light duty tourer. The Atlantis weighs much more and takes super fat tires, the Ebisu weighs less, probably less than the Heron Wayfarer, it's closer competitor. I am light and am hesitant that touring frame (like the Heron) will be too stiff for me. The Ebisu All-Purpose will fit fat enough tires for me and can cross purpose as a cyclo-cross. The other bike to look at for a bunch more money would be Waterford. The Ebisu is very nice aesthetically. Does anyone know anything about the tubing?
