Professional Cycling For the Fans - Well, there you have it...

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Lance is featured in the latest issue of Sports Illustrated, and I know for a fact that he'll win the Tour this year? Why? How? It's simple: he says: "I do not intend to lose my last tour." So, sorry to spoil the fun, but he said it. I'm just the messenger.
:D

I was a firm believer in the "Cover Jinx" until the Patriots won the Super Bowl after that pre-season SI cover featuring Tom Brady.

Nobody goes in intending to lose the Tour. They just get passed by better riders.
Every time someone is on the cover saying I'll win, they lose. I remember Igor de galdeano on the cover of cycle sport a couple of years ago, saying "Of course I can win the vuelta." And he didn't even finish, got injured and bailed. Of course, he didn't say i WILL win. Neither did lance, he said he doesn't intend to lose. The best way to lose is to day I will win this. I remember Erik Dekker talking about when he won Amstel Gold and beat lance. He said he was thinking "I can lose this", because whenever you think ,I can win this, that's when you lose.
Makes sense, if you think that way you start screwing and getting careless.

Isn't getting the cover of SI the curse?
