Mountain Biking - Definition...SMOOOOOTH

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I know some of you have seen this but for those that have not, here is an example of what style and form looks like when perfected. ;)

That step down to double looks like it might be kinda tricky. Also he about lost it there the first time on that last table top but saved it.

Cool track, I'd love to ride that. No way I'd look as good doing it though.

That should answer the question of "do I need a full suspension bike for freeride?" :D
Nice, nice save on the last jump there, damn near went over the bars.

Actually he is on a bike built for 4x racing. He uses a different bike for dh or freeride but then again, his freeriding consists of terrain that requires long travle so that little 4x bike would not stand a chance :D
Watching him ride just gives me something to aspire to. No matter what terrain he is on he always looks smooth. A friend of mine (who races semi-pro and is fast) road with him a few times and after the ride was compleatly exhausted and Lopes was not even breaking a sweat. Top pros are just incredible on a bike. I would be to if all I did was ride every day and had a sweet track in my backyard;)

Isn't lopes the one that explodes from the gate. I remember reading articles on his train regime for his legs. The most explosive exist in the game, as it were.

He looks super explosive! His front comes up out of the berm while pedalling and he is already flying!

wow
I wish i could do that..then again on my hardtail i might die but it would be crazy fun to try that on a hardtail. Hes super smooth though, i love flow like that, i always try to do it, then end up killing the flow by mangling myself on a tree or something. lol
Hardtails all the way, norco shore
