I got so lucky yesterday. I was cut off by some stupid sedan, going down one of the few hills in Chicago, in the midlle of rushhour with less than 5 feet to stop. I was completly boxed in and it looked like some pain was coming. I must have acted on instict, as i have a dexterity of around 7, but some how I was able to plant a hand on the hood of the car, lean over alnost horizontally, pull some slalom-action around the offending vehicle and cruise off unharmed. I ended up with enough adrenaline in my system to kill a horse, thinking about the many ways hitting a car at full speed would have ruined my day, but pleased as hell about my latent acrobatic abilities. Thanks to 165mm cranks, pedal strike was not included. Thanks to no brakes, I stayed moving and cleared the obstacles. My track bike and I will be featured in the upcoming Fantastic 4 movie.

My army of Lucas Brunelle clones will be rolling out mid-July.

The more cameras on bikers there are, the more likely we will get crazy sh*t on film. I consider that a good thing.

Anyone remembers the guy who changes lane between 2 cars in Brunelle's drag race NYC at 4:45? If you did something like that, you're God. Anyway, glad you got away.

Please tell us more of this dexterity scale. I want to learn how to be able to rate myself.

The dexterity of a 7-year-old child, IMO.

it must have been your 2 charisma that scared the vehicle out of your path.
Ira - nice. Sounds completely sketch but probably looked hella smooth.

It felt smooth. It probably looked sketchy. I made a big "thump" on the car when I leaned into it so it probably startled the driver.

I am going with the AD&D Second Edition rules.

I actually have an above-average charisma and enjoy a +3 modifier to all CHAR based rolls, as well as an abnormally large "max. number of henchmen."

I have, but I can't say it was fun. Actually I had to do this twice, as there were three staggered cabs, so I had to cut right across a lane and then immediately left, at "full" speed. This somehow also happened without having to break my rear wheel loose (skid/skip).
I'm just glad I didn't nail anything or get doored.
Anyway, sweet moves Ira. I also want to see a diagram. Or better yet, a dramatization of the event with actors and a stuntman?

what they speak of is a "plus two modifier," "placing Gates in the realm of deities and demigods," you can't roll and get a deitie or demigod... Meaning he started with an 18 (three d6's rolling "natural 6's"; or having some previous modifiers, probably stolen from apple's druid), and then gaining a plus 2 modifier.
+10 experience points!
wasting my youth has finally paid off.
