A co-worker and I are starting to get into some light Mountain biking and looking for some trails in East Texas near Lake Fork that would be suitable for some newbie riders like ourselves. This morning we hit the Ray Roberts greenbelt trail (multi use improved trail of gravel) for about 15 miles. It was the first time he'd been on a bike in years and the longest ride I'd made since starting riding again a few months ago. Mainly looking for easier, wooded if possible, trails mainly for the exercise than anything else. We won't be too far from Tyler State Park and I've heard nothing but good things about the park and have hiked there before though not sure if the trails there are a bit advanced for my friend (and admittedly myself as well). Any advise?
