I am currently looking at replacing my crap shin guards for the Sixsixone Race lites:

http://www.sixsixone.com/gear/bodyarmor/ba_Raceliteknee.jpg

Is there any cheaper shin/knee guards? The race lite ones are about $90 (including tax) at my LBS, so if I bought them would I be getting ripped off or what because on the Sixsixone website it says they're $50usd (around $62cdn).

Help is appreciated. :)

Cyclepath on danforth here in toronto - 60 bucks.

Kona shin guards arent too bad, about 50.

90 is a way jacked up price.

They have some even cheaper stuff in the motocross section. They usually get my order to me in three days tops.

Fox Northshore's are working great for me, the only thing it lacks is the knee protection not being so attached to the shinpad (more mobility) but overall good. :) Here they're 50 euros.
