ive been an avid mountain biker for several years. i just recently bought a felt chasm bike and have noticed a huge difference in the 2 styles. for one, my wrists hurt like hell on a bmx. i took suspension for granted on my mtn bike. also i find it harder to keep balance on my bmx bike. however i can bunny hop higher on my bmx than my mtn. just a couple of things ive noticed so far.

If your wrist hurt, try getting different bars with more sweep. My wrists hurt like hell when I was using 7" tall, 23" wide (after being cut down) S&M Castillo bars with 6 degrees of backsweep. After switching to Solid Hella Light bars (7.5" tall, cut to 23" wide, and with 12 degrees of sweep), my wrists felt better. And, currently, I'm riding 8" tall, 25" (normally 28") S&M Slam bars with 12 degrees of sweep, and I get no pain anymore.

I know when I got my cruiser the rigid fork felt a little rough... it helps to loosen your hands also, and absorb a bit of impact that way instead of letting it travel up your arms and rattling your brain :P

Loosen your hands. Yeah. Right. *rolls eyes*
I find my right thumb gets twitchy on my BMX, especially going up or down hills.
