Introductions - Hey from NY!
Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Two newbies here, myself CJ and husband Scott, both 40, looking to say hi to all! Husband used to race BMX bikes as a kid, myself haven't ridden in many years so this is going to be a real adventure, , looking to buy new bikes, possibly recumbents, and looking foward to this new site, meeting all you guys and getting all your great advice. ;)
Welcome to the forum. I hope you don't rush to buy a bike. I would try to ride everything you can so that you can make a good choice on a new bike the first time. Many people start out with a comfort/hybrid type of bike and then realize that they really want a road bike or a mountain bike. You may end up with a garage full of different models. My wife has a hybrid and a mountain bike. I have a hybrid, a mountain bike, a road bike and a touring bike. And, from time to time, I wonder about buying a recumbent as well.
