Hello.. My name is Bette. I reside in Port St. Lucie, FL.

I am new to Mountain biking... Haven't even received my bike as yet.. in the making.. wish they would hurry up .. LOL

With alot of information from the forum I have decided on getting a Cannondale. I didn't know anything about the new generation of bikes.. I was amazed at all the changes. I am very excited for the learning part of it all.

Look forward to meeting you all.
Nice to be here.. Great Forum !!!!

Bette :)

I absolutely love my Cannondales (road and mtn). The frames are guaranteed for life. I had a friend who busted his at the swingarm (full suspension) and they replaced the entire bike with a newer model. Very nice!

Hi Bette from Boca.

I think you'll love your Cannondale with its hand crafted frame. They're a step above.

Cycling gets in the blood so be prepared for a new obsession. I've been at it since late winter and I'm hooked. We're fortunate down here to have year round cycling and the best cycling weather for us will be when everyone else is on a trainer indoors. If you ever get down this way or I get up that way or somewhere in between, maybe we can get together for some riding. You're the first Florida southeast coast female rider I've run across on the forums. Well, actually you're probably south central but it's close enough :D

Welcome.

Kathy

Thank you for the replies about the Cannondales... All sounded good. I think I will be happy with it.

Kathy.. I live in Port St. Lucie on the east coast. Its the town just north of Stuart. Known for the spring training of the Mets.

That would be great if our paths crossed someday. Do you use a mountain Bike or Road?

Thank you for the warm welcome :)

Bette

I ride both. Actually my mountain bike is a mountain hybrid or ATB. It's a good all around bike, both functional and fun.

Sure I know where Port St. Lucie is. I'm a native Floridian. 25 years ago I used to surf down by St. Lucy power plant with my then husband. Boca's in southernmost Palm Beach County. There's probably a good 75 miles between us.
