Standard STA 500
S&M Pitchforx
Diacompe Aheadset
Casket Stem
S&M Slam Bars
Primo Grips and grip savers
STA seatpost
some crappy taped seat
Profile SS cranks
S&M platform pedals
KINK sprocket
KMC big chain
Sun Big City rims
Bulletproof sealed hubs
ACS freewheel
Primo tires (one needs replacing)
DK Pipe bomb pegs

i may buy this bike from a dude. anything that i should be aware of? i'm kinda bummed it doesn't have cassette hubs, but otherwise it looks like a good deal.

thoughts. comments. thanks.

Those S&M Wellgo pedals aren't great, apart from that it sounds like a damn solid bike. It's pretty unfashionable though so beat him down on the price.

oversized chain
kink sprockets suck ( i have owned two kink sprockets, and they bent very easily)
SS crank. despite the giant arms and 22mm spindle, this thing is heavy and weak.
bulletproof hubs
i didn't even know standard made seatposts

The SS crank has a 7/8" spindle, not 22mm.

they still suck. my friend has them and he dented and cracked the arms, and stripped the spindle

I find that hard to believe, but I'll take your word for it. I've never heard of that happening with Profile SS's before.

he went up for a wallride and threw his bike. the crank hit a rail, got dented and cracked.

Doesn't sound like a product defect, sounds like operator error.

well if you throw you bike and the crank arm hits a rail, im assuming fairly hard you can't expect that even the strongest of cranks will go unscaved there is bound to be some damage
