Does anyone have a problem with a creaking noise in the bottom bracket area? It can be heard when climbing, it gets louder when standing. It can also be heard if you flex the frame sideways by pushing in on the cranks. The bottom bracket has been adjusted several times. If anyone has any info let me know. Thanks, Julian

Maybe it is not the BB. Almost all creks sound like they come from the BB,but many don't. If it is BB,teflon tape on the threads is often the cure.

Some of the usual culprits:
The threads of the bottom bracket have no grease. Solution: grease them thoroughly and reinstall the bottom bracket.
The bottom-bracket cartridge is creaking in its cups (if so designed, example: Shimano). Solution: knock the cartridge out of the drive-side cup with a mallet, grease the surfaces that touch both cups, and reassemble.
The seatpost is creaking inside the seattube when the frame is flexed at the bottom bracket. Solution: remove post, grease the inside of the frame using a bottle brush or something, lightly grease outside of post, and reassemble. Before doing this, check for the next item in my list...
The frame has an internal shim which goes down into the frame to fit the seatpost. These may be built into the frame and not be apparent. Take a spoke and slide the head end down the wall of the seat tube. If it finds a sudden ledge, you have a shim. The shim may creak on the seattube just like a seatpost, but you cannot remove it to grease it. Solution: run some light lubricant down into the seattube and then invert the bike overnight to get the lube to run into the gap between the shim and the frame.
The crankarm may be creaking on the bottom-bracket spindle. There will probably always be a rift between the "wet" and "dry" camps on this subject... I go for a light film of lube on tapered cranks, and the full grease treatment on splined (per Shimano recommendation). GripShift grease is really good for this purpose, if you have any on hand or can weasle a dab from your LBS.
Hope that helps! :) edit: upon further research, I see that this bike comes with an ISIS-style bottom bracket made by American Classic. Here are specs on torque: http://shopping.oraclesmallbusiness.com/app/site/site.nl?site=ACCT68588&mode=items&sc=2&category=9&it=A&id=39
