I have done three triathlons already, and have more planned. I'm sure I'm sticking with this thing!! I'm looking at getting a trisuit, mostly to cut down on my transition times but for comfort too. That and I was photographed bending over in my swimsuit, one should have more coverage in public! I'm having a hard time finding sources. I've looked at a lot of websites but I'm really only coming up with one or two options. Any help? I'd like to go two piece, as long as the top was long enough...I don't have abs worth viewing. I'm actually toying with the idea of stripping off a wet bottom and pulling on dry cycle shorts (under a towel of course) during T1 because I'm not a fan of the soggy diaper feel on the bike. I don't know how much time that would eat up, but it would be worth it for the comfort aspect, considering I can keep the towel on long enough to get my shorts up!

Sources for a trisuit?

Check out Sport's Basement...

At least consider a one-piece. They dry really fast and you don't need to worry about your abs showing. I know MHR doesn't like them but I swear by mine for sprints and olympic distance.

By the way...you're not the only one who doesn't want his/her abs showing...this is what I look like in my one-piece...if you can see my gut IN it, imagine what it would look like exposed :)

Yeah...I'm looking at needing a "plus sized" suit. I wear a size 16 (14 on a good day, one that I don't breathe much!) which in my opinion is not plus sized. But when you figure most gals in this sport are thin (ish) I'm on the heavier side. Beats where I was three years ago, 300 pounds of couch potato. Anyway. So I'm keeping my eye out for a "flattering" suit. We'll see. What really torks me off is I can't find the cutsie "girlie" jerseys to fit me. The XL might as well be a XS it aint goin over my head much less my tits. The curse of a curvey woman!!

I like this one... http://www.zootsports.com/products_ws05_4.php#4

At my first tri I was talking to a girl who said she was in the Athena division and called it "Triathletes with Boobs"...three cheers for triathletes with boobs!!!

Have you considered something like this? http://www.trisports.com/desowosutrit.html It's cut long to cover the midriff and has some built in support for your...uh...tits. Gotta party with you cowgirl ;)

I'm thinking of Athena division...narrorw the playing field a bit. I like that top a lot, I think I'm going to check out the desow site and see if I can get the xl in pink...only royal on this site. But the price is right!!

Depending on how long the bike segment is, you may have success with Tyr tri briefs (I like their padding and fit, though after 30 miles the briefs start to chafe...no prob with running though), and a similar brand tri tank. Then you can pull on lighter bike shorts over, and switch out for running shorts, to preserve others' eyes during each segment, but still have that quick-drying padded base layer.

I have a one-piece Zoot suit, under which I still wear that Tyr bra for added support/streamlining. It's high-necked, which is important for the swim. I got a last-season model on team estrogen or something. Sports basement is the best once you know what sizing you need.

Trying on tri stuff is important, and it's hard to do in certain areas. Stupid stores.

Check out Tri Outfitter. They carry quite few different tri-suits. Here is the link to their women's tri-suit page:

Or you could try wearing a pair of jammer type swim suit with a top(so it will be liek a 2 peice suit) you will be in a wet suit, so whatever. Then just put bike shorts overtop for the bike.

I use sugoi tri suits(2 peice), i only use sugoi because it is my team suit, i get chaffing at about 30-40km, maby becasue my bottoms are 4 years old, they were fine brand new..
I dont really know other companies, but sugoi is great.
