Chicago's Late Ride; anyone going?

Wondering if anyone will be riding in the Friends of the Parks 'Late Ride' this year. I believe it's the Saturday/Sunday after the Fourth (I guess that makes it the 10th). I haven't done this since it was called 'Insomnia Cycle', and that was in '92, but I had a ton of fun doing it, so thought I should try it again. Anyone else attending? (I realize that even if other members will be there, I'd probably never find them anyway, being as there are usually 10,000 paticipants :) )

After Bike The Drive, this is my favorite organized ride. I'm sure it'll be a blast. Won't miss it.

Three thoughts:

1. Sounds like a good excuse to try out your new kevlar vest. :D

2. One of my wife's friends invited us to take part a month ago, and she immediately invoked her veto power.

3. As it turns out, I have to be at the hospital in Springfield at 5:30 the next morning for surgery anyway. Wouldn't that be a fun morning!
