Anyone here familiar with Bromelain or SAM-e supplements? I was doing some reading on injury prevention and came across an article stating that these supplements are better, and safer than using NSAIDs to control inflamation? I had never heard of them before???

Hi,
bromelain is an enzyme extracted from pineapples. It never leaves your tummy. It digests protein. It is more likely to make inflammation worse (if the level of protein in your system is more than what you need).

SAM-e is on of those things that I haven't seen anything defintive on.

Inflammation is best prevented. This is done by eating a balanced and healthy diet.Too many calories is inflammatory.
Brushing your teeth also helps quite a bit.

If you have a specific problem, get some cold therapy packs, and
ice the area down.

Fish that have Omega3 oils are anti-inflammatory, like salmon.
