Recumbent - 4 Wheeled Bonding

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I bought a side by side quadrabent I still haven't got the drive train teething problems worked out.
Just Two Bikes makes a two person quadrabent that breaks apart into a pair of single bikes, but around $3k so it is pricey. There is a defunct competitor that made a similar bike that often is available much less
Trailmate and Worksman make several heavy but eccono side by side models.
Rhoades cars often show up on ebay, if you find one local pickup near you could be a bargain. A few others also show up often. The competior Quadracycle in Indiana builds top of the quadrabents.
Another economical option would be a tandem bike (I assume bent) and get either a tribi bike-to-trike
conversion kit (delta) or a Newton Welsh Trike conversion kit (tadpole).
Granny Bike mates two bikes side by side in sociable rather than tandem configuration.
There is a specific kit on the market for mating 2 EZ-1's together, can probably find it through any major bent dealer.
If looking for performance tandem tadpoles, Greenspeed, Wizwheels. The Hase trikes can be made into a train together, but that gives you 5 wheels on the ground rather than the 3-4 you requested.
EZ-3 is a low cost bent tandem.

Thank you.
Thank you.
Here's another option.
One of my bents has a broken right chainstay on the rear suspension swingarm.
I spotted a rear of a Schwinn Town and Country trike expiring today on ebay.
I'm going to have a Vision delta!
And the Town and Country trikes had differentials rather than the modern cheaper single wheel drive- so better than a tribi kit.
Preliminary downside is it is 3 speed internal gear hub-but that can be upgraded.
That same idea would work on a tandem.

BuddyCycle was the name of that defunct lower priced competitor.
They are a fraction of the price when they pop up ebay relative the JTB version.
