Road Cycling - Identify this bike

I bought this bike used. I was told it was a Trek. I took it to my lBS and to get it tuned and they said that it definetly was not a Trek and that it might be a Graftek(sp?) It was painted all black before I bought it so I really have no idea what it is. If you have a clue Iwould love to know. I love this bike. It is a carbon fiber frame with Shimano 600 components. I think that it is a mid nineties vintage.

I just remembered something that might be helpful. This bike has internal cable runs.

No, not a trek. Graftek were the first carbon fibre bikes
around mid 70's however they were carbon tubes with
aluminium lugs.
My guess is it is a Kestrel frame, however I don't know
enough about them to identify frames. (I think its a 200 sci?)
I used to live in your area but a long time ago, went to
grade school in Haddonfield and HS in Willingboro, and too
many evenings in the collingswood diner.

Depending oun your sentmentality you may be glad or sad to hear that the collingswood Diner will soon open as the Tortilla Press a gourmet mexican place. NJ is sorely lacking in Mexican Food.

Mexican, they have mexican food in NJ now?
As I said, its been a long time.
Here in texas there are LOTS of mexican places
but I haven't found a real diner yet. . .

I would also guest it as Kestrel, but better still, turn the bike upside down there is a series of number engrave or stenciled on the bottom braket lug, if you can read it and post it at BFC we or some member might be able to help you identify your beautifull bike.... what are the groupo on your bike

It could be a Kestrel or an early version of AEGIS which looked very much like Kestrel because the original designer of Aegis had also designed Kestrels.It could be late 80's, early 90's vintage.

Aegis now has more conventional round tubing.

I think it's a Trek. I know a guy who rides an older Trek carbon that looks just like that- except unpainted so you see the carbon.

I dunno, the bike has a Cannondale look to it, don't ya think.

I would agree with you except C'dale doesn't make carbon bikes.
