As usual... we'll be posting the threads a few at a time so people can chat about their hopes, predictions, etc. for that stage. As usual... ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK! As usual, SPOILERS WILL INEVITABLY BE POSTED, so if you plan on watching a stage race later in the day than when it's broadcasted, then avoid reading the thread for that day's stage.

We'll simply post the stage, plus include a stage map with some bare details of the stage. If everyone could help out by posting everything pertaining to that stage in that thread, we'll avoid all the confrontations and hassles that arise when postings show up all over the forums.

I hope to have everything up by Wednesday. Strange... for some reason, this year's stage maps are not being released yet. Only the France map itself is being released, so I'm waiting on that. Google hasn't produced any results yet, so we're patiently waiting on the sidelines.

Thanks for everyone's help with keeping sanity in this forum!

Koffee B.

What exactly do you mean by "stage maps" (besides what the words mean ;))?

I have several special sections on the TdF from various mags in France, as well as the Official Program. They have a lot of stage profiles and all the detailed timelines, but no (or not many) actual maps of individual stages.

Can I help? I can scan some of these and Email to you or post them here. Let me know.

Cyclingnews.com has maps and profiles for all stages.

So far, I've checked velonews, cyclingnews, bicycling, olntv, letour, jamesraia, procycling, and pedal. No stage profiles... just the overall route map.

Weird.

Still, I'm on my way back over to these websites (been checking daily) to see if the stage profiles are up yet. Or at least just the profile map for stage 1!

As I said, they're all up.

Does this forum have spoiler tags (marks text so you have to highlight it to read it)? I intend to stay out of the threads until I can actually watch, but I still think the use of spoiler tags in other threads would help (because chatter about the stages is sure to leak into other threads).

No. Once the stage starts, the thread with the name of the stage will surely fill with spoilers. Best for you to stay out of the stage thread to avoid seeing the winner of the race entirely.

Assume every thread created will be a spoiler if you aren't watcing it that day.
