I’ve been devouring “Lance Armstrong’s War”
Here’s a provocative quote from the book:
“...the performance gap between Armstrong and his rivals is on the order of two percent. It’s not a lot. In fact, it's a slender enough gap that he watches it, guards it, touches the number like a lucky stone. For here is the truth: the Tour de France is decided by many things-ability, concentration, teamwork, fate, and, most of all, by a fluctuating margin of physical strength equal to that of a three-year-old child.”
