After taking my bike to a dodgy repair shop to fix the bottom bracket, I noticed that the rear tyre is rubbing against the frame. How do I sort this.

I took the bike back to the shop but they deny it was their fault

First, make sure it is seated properly in the drop outs. If it is, and the tire still rubs, then, no matter who's fault it is, the wheel needs to be trued.

hehe if the wheel was infact put on straight and its actually smacking the frame (not the brake pads) i think urr tire is a little more than slightly outta true. thats an awfully big wobble to hit the frame. urr wheel is prolly on an angle just loosen the bolt or quick release and straighten.

If the worked on the bottom bracket only, they probably did not remove or even touch the rear wheel at all. However, a good shop would give a bike a look over during the ticket writing and point out an obvious problem...and then ask if you wanted it repaired.

A mis-mounted wheel can rub, as can a off-centered wheel. For wheel truing see http://www.parktool.com/repair_help/howfix_truing.shtml

well if they worked on the bottom bracket they would have spun the cranks after to make sure they spin therefore causing the wheel to spin. since it was spinning they would have pointed something out
