The power of Bobke never ceases to amaze me.
you do know "de" means "of" and not "day" or perhaps it's just a pun???
Bobke!
It's the sideburns..... they have strange and magical powers we mere mortals are only now beginning to comprehend.....

Ah, guess I'm not a big enough dork because I didn't get the joke. Heh.
No it is because they run all the stages during the day. No night riding.
I have changed it back due to a couple of complaints. I did find it comical as I really find it funny how butchered the french language is. I don't personally know anything about the specifics of the above change beyond what was told me.
Cheers,
Tour de France :D
I'm sorry, I didn't want the name changed just because I didn't get the joke. I usually just read through this forum and rarely take part in it myself.
aww... come on. Put it back.
Bob annoys me to no end, but having him at the Tour is still funny. He was a good racer, and is a very smart analyst..but his redneck commentary style....jeez...It used to make me just CRINGE whenever I would hear his purposeful butchering of "TOUR DAY FRANCE", but after a while it was comical...and now his trademark..
He is not butchering it because he doesn't know any better...He does it because he DOES know better. Funny :)
Come on change the name back :)
