I just moved my seat up higher and farther forward. I noticed that the muscles around the knee got tired very quickly. Is this different from the knee pain that people talk about when they say their seat is too far forward?

My legs especially felt weaker when climbing, but maybe better when on the flats. Does that sound similar to anyone else's experience with moving the seat around like that?

how far did you move your seat?

These adjustments should be made millimetres at a time over a period of a few weeks to allow your body to adjust. A sudden repositioning could be casuing your discomfort.

Make small seat adjustments as you go. By the way, slide back when climbing hills if you are seated. Nice full motion without placing all the stress on the knees. Try it a few times and you will notice the difference.

I know I moved my seat more than I should have. I'm so darned impatient.

Either my new position or the heat, or maybe a combo, is kicking my ass. For the second time in as many weeks I came home from a 50 miler and just passed out on the floor for about 30 minutes before even getting a shower. And holy crap, the tops of my thighs down near the knee and also my calves and ankles are serioulsy fatigued. Like they're so tired it's tough for them to bend now and support my weight.

Anybody out there getting their butts kicked by the summer heat? It just really feels like it's taking a lot out of me.
