I am looking to upgrade my stock saddle to a titanium railed lighter weight model, but can't find many options for females. I like some male versions but fear they may be too narrow and painful. Any suggestions

The best way to find a saddle that works for you is to actually ride it. At the very least you'll want to sit on it to determine if it's supporting your bone structure properly. If you're looking for ti-rail women's specific saddles then you might want to check out Terry (http://www.terrybicycles.com/product.html?c=Saddles&sc=Women%27s+Performance) for starters.

For any enterprising bike shop owner, a good way to sell saddles would be to have a bike set up on a trainer. Than have multiple saddles pre-installed on 2-bolt saddle posts for easy adjustment. Until we get a formal ass sizing system, it could help customers zero in quickly on what they need to fit their posterior ;-)

Whichever model you decide upon, make sure it has a cut-out section.... That's the only type I'll EVER buy from now on. If I was a girl, I'd definitely buy a wider seat, just because of the bone structure (unless you're built like a guy)....

I'm a woman and cutouts are pure torture for me. The best way is to try them. WTB makes a woman's saddle in ti.

For the record, I'm a guy. Everyone's butt is different. The cut-out saddles I've tried didn't work for me and I tried a few different brands and models. One which everyone swore by (Specialized BG) had the edges of the cutout hitting at just the wrong spot and it felt like I was sitting on top of the business end of two very sharp hockey skates. :eek:
