I didn't have a very good day today, did I? An embarrassing crash this morning, I got bugger all done at work today, then something happens on the ride home. I was waiting at a red light at Burleigh (one that I only missed by a few seconds), and some punk crossing the road decides to give me a bit of a push on the way across.
Of course, I gave him the Werris Creek glare, and he buggered off very quickly. I did think about chasing him, but by this stage the light was about to change, so I just rode off. Unfortunately, he wasn't in a car at the time, so I don't have a # to take to the cops. But then, it was pretty harmless, so maybe I should just eat a passionfruit and get over it.

Christ,
That guy who gave you little push, must have thought that you were in distress, or he may be another good samaritan and give you a little help to get you going, :D
CAUTION, weak attempt at humor follows:
Or maybe (see thread Why Does Chris L keep crashing) he reads this forum, and was afraid you were going to get caught up in your pedals and crash in the intersection, so he thought he would help out!
:roflmao:
What's the, "Werris Creek glare?" Sounds pretty powerful, maybe I could learn it?
Reminds me of when one of my own cycling "brethren" came barrelling down the sidewalk headed straight for me (I was walking.) Didn't even slow down! We played, "chicken" for a few moments, then I realized this guy might be a bit too inept to avoid a collision, so I stepped to the side. No sense in trusting your destiny to someone with little or no awareness! He came so close he actually touched me.
Sometimes I want to give some children a good hard spanking and take away their toys.

On second thought, you did the adult thing.

It's something I instinctively do in certain situations. I really perfected it on my last tour when the road was blocked with cattle a few times and I had to clear them.
On second thought, maybe it wasn't the Werris Creek glare, but the fact that the guy was gutless that got rid of him.
