Since I am new to OLN this year....

Which would you recommend I tape each day....the live early-morning coverage, or the produced package of the day's stage that airs in the evening. I'm not going to waste time and tape on both....overkill.

Thanks.

I always found the morning live coverage much better than the evening coverage. The evening stuff has too much of that cutters crap and the useless roadside interviews, etc. I like the live stuff...

Watch out for the days when they do extended coverage and start earlier. If you don't set your DVD recorder, you end up getting on when they're a couple of hours into it.

Because I dont have cable, my Father tapes each day for me. I struggle with the times, listings seem to be off than what oln is showing at times - like you said the extended coverage issue. I always go with the morning taping, great stuff.

Hip,
A true OCP member would wait and buy the entire 12 hour WCP DVD set.

I use DVR to record morning coverage, then edit out the crap and transfer
to DVD. I do watch both tho for the commentary by Bobke in the evening.

Hmm. I'm in the same dilemma. I have to make time to watch so I'd want to watch the best stuff - which isn't necessarily the whole race. Just the good parts.

The evening wrapup is longer (at least for the first day). I set my PVR to record all of the shows - I'll just delete the repeats they show during the day.
