How many of you wear a cologne or perfume when you get to your destination, and what kind do you use? If you don't, what do you use as an alternative?

Right now I use baby wipes and baby powder (can you guess I'm a father?).

When I saw the thread title I thought, "I didn't know that there was a stage of the Tour de France going from Cologne to Perfume this year."

But back to the real intent of the thread. I am fortunate enough to have a shower at work so thankfully I don't need to mask any odours.

I am also fortunate in that I can ride all day, get sweaty and still not smell. (No, that's not just my opinion. My wife doesn't understand how my body refuses to create body odour.)

Yeah, I keep telling my co-workers, "Warn me if I'm smelly after riding in, I have deoderant and a towel in the back" and they always say they can't smell me. That's in 95 degree temperatures after an 8-12 mile ride...

Nope, no cologne, no extra deoderant, no nothing required. And I was so worried about stinking when I first started! :D

Ok, let's get real:

Odor-free is achievable, even without a shower at work. But...

Some things are simmering stink-pots, just waiting to be unleashed, like unwashed helmets, gloves, backpacks and...

...let's not forget the occasional "strange food," like garlic, onions or Valerian "supplements" : pu smiley: (Some things exude through your pores. :o )

Just remember, you heard it here first, folks.

Rub-a-dub, dub! Wash in the tub! :D

Hey, I think a little "squirt" of B.O. blocker never hurt anyone (especially people in a crowded elevator.)

I have a shower at work, but the only time I've ever actually used it was when I had a burst water pipe and couldn't use my shower at home. A squirt of deodorant usually does the trick for me. And this is in Queensland, where winter doesn't exist (except for Stanthorpe).

I do use cologne but only because I have a girlfriend who works in cosmetics. I'm about neck deep in sampler bottles of every cologne in existence. I feel pretty certain that even if I asked, nobody would tell me that I'm wreaking, they'd likely just avoid me. So I bike on in with a sample bottle a few times a week. Watch out though, it makes for a grotesque-tasting sweat for the ride home.

Like most, I do not have a shower at work....so I keep a stash of wipes, deodorant and Ralph Lauren Polo. No complaints yet during my 3 years of commuting.

I'm lucky that I do have a shower at work but when I didn't made sue that I had cooled down before wiping down and changing.

that stopped any problems.

I'm fortunate enough to have a small, sometimes unclean, sometimes smelly restroom to clean up in. You know, the kind you find in old country gas stations. :D :(
If you'd like I'll post a picture. :p

I wash up with soap and water, dry off, apply fresh deodorant, get dressed and I'm ready for the day. No one has dropped any hints that I might need a little cologne.

I try to get to work half an hour early, before almost anyone wlse is there and air dry. Fresh cycling gear to work, fresh work clothes and a shower when I get home no problem. Except during the Crush (grape harvest) when most of Sonoma County reeks of grapes and yeast. Just make those wine glasses instead of steins.
