Quest continues

After further review, it appears as tho I can mount a rack on the infernal bike.
Would have to mount at:

Seat post (clamped) in front
and with tube clamps way down but just above drop outs

My frame does not have the classic couble seat stay that continues to seat (they merge into a single tube just above the rear brake)

Has any one seen a rack with this configuration?
the Nitto R-10 (http://www.tullios.com/NittoR10.htm)
has the correct configurarion, but the struts are too short (would need clamps on seat stays)
so a rack with LONGER back struts

can ya help? can ya?

My son's bike has this seat stay configuration. He has a Radical Explorack. The top end screws to brazed rack mounting points about half way down the single tube part of the seat stay. If the stay on your bike doesnt have the holes to take the screws at that point you could use P clips from your local hardware store. P clips would be perfectly adequate since there is very little stress on the top mounting point.
