I thought I heard a flat today but 12 hours later and my tires look/feel fine. Are there leaks this slow? Does anyone have a step by step flat fixing site for dummies, for future reference? Thanks. :(

You probably heard a rock bullet. That's when you run over a small rock and it shoots out to the side at high speed.

The instruction is usually included in a patch kit(There are two kinds. Ask at the store.). It's not hard to learn. Try one when you get the patch kit. It's easier learning it at home than wait till you get flat on the road. There are a few other things you need to have besides the patch kit. You'll get to know what you need when you try it.
Like JavaMan said, what you heard was probably not a real flat. There isn't a lot of amount of air in a bicycle tire and it won't take 12 hours before you can feel something wrong with your tire. It's usually in a few seconds to several minutes. It also depends on the tire size.

Thanks, fellows. I saw the jim langley site immediately after I asked the question. Still kind of puzzled though. I guess it also could've been the bottles in my backpack burping a little. Thanks for the info!
