I've had the Speed Pro for nearly three weeks. On the commute home yesterday, I felt something loose through my right leg. I looked down, and what do I see but a wobbly chainring!! I tightened it at home (I found a large hex wrench of the right size, somehow) but then it came loose again on the commute this morning. What's up with that? Did the LBS do a lousy job building-up the bike? Did I not re-tighten it enough? (I knew I should have brought the wrench with me to work!)

Edit: I should add that the wobble was due to the crank bolt (?) being loose.

The crank bolt should not normally work loose: the LBS missed it. Problem is, once it has come loose once, the steel bottom-bracket axle chews up the soft alloy crank, and it hardly ever fits right ever again. That's probably why it came loose a second time.

You do need to do 'em up mongo-tight. But your current situation is a warranty job for the shop.
