Tandem Cycling - Does anyone have any experience with Holland tandems?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I can't seem to find a website for them, nor very much information.
Thanks! :)

There is one for sale on Ebay...
I think he was a custom builder out of Philly.

Bill Holland is a high-end custom builder in Southern California. He custom builds the old-fashion way: one at a time by hand. Joe Bell has been his painter since the 80's. He's currently considered one of the best Ti builders that you'll find; again, all done by hand.
However, like a lot of custom builders who will build you a tandem, it's not his speciality so the tubing is probably not highly refined / custom drawn for the application. Regardless, it looks like a great frame. I may even bid on that one...
Perhaps someone with first hand experience will chime in...

Hey TandemGeek! You have at least four tandems, that I recall...don't be greedy! Trying to score my first, ya know (at a reasonable price). :)
We're making the trek to Greenville, SC this weekend to test ride a few. Both your pal Tim, and the Birmingham couple are out of town for a NW rally. Can you tell I have the fever yet?

Given that the one on Ebay looks like our size I must assume it's too small for y'all and, no, we only have 3 tandems.
Say hey to Scott for me and, yes, EVERYONE we normally hang with is in Bend, OR for NWTR. We had planned to be there too but then our youngest and his GF went and planned a wedding for July 16 and then bought a home that they closed on yesterday. I hate it when life gets in the way of my hobbies!!

Maybe it's somebody else that begins with an 'H' out of Philly...

TG, I did think it might be a bit small. I didn't realize how much until I went back and pulled your email about needing to be concerned about top tube length. With a 21" inch top tube length on the front of the Holland, I just did a conversion and came up with 53.34cm...and my road bike is 59cm for the TT!!!! Yikes, outbid me *now*, please! :o
I think we're pretty much going to have to be focused on the Large/Small Co-Motion Speedster and da Vinci.

Perhaps 'mentor4healthnwealth' will come back with another bid. You might want to send 'mentor4healthnwealth' a note to the effect that you are backing out of the bidding so that he might be encouraged to bid again and/or the seller a note asking him to release you from your bid(s) in that you now realize the frame is not the right size.
