I am not total newbie to bikes, having converted a few 3 speeders to 18s speeds, etc; however, I picked up the Bergamo last year as it is sort of hybrid bike with the larger rims.

Thing is, it has one of the novel transmissions in that it has but one sprocket, so all the gearing is in the rear hub. Nifty item, but I have a couple of problems to iron out.

A. The tran emits a squeaking noise at low speed and,

B. Occasionally the shift is delayed.

Is this a lube only problem, and, if so, how does one lube the rear hub internals?

Otherwise, are there references on fine tuning the transmission? I tried Bianchi and got nothing.

I'd suggest first making sure the chain is in good condition. Just because you're running an internal hub gear doesn't mean you shouldn't still keep your chain clean and lubed up. It will get rusty and start to squeak if you don't. The delayed shifting isn't being caused by the chain, but that could be a symptom of too much friction in the shift cables. They don't cost more than a few dollars to replace, if that's really your problem. Otherwise, I'd get in touch with SRAM or Shimano, whoever makes your rear hub, or go to your LBS and ask them what you can do to service the drivetrain yourself. They should be able to help you out.
