I'm building up a Nishiki road frame into a single speed. All my parts came in today but I screwed up and put in for a campy cog when I needed a shimano. I need something that will fit on a shimano free hub body; I'm going to put a pair of bontrager race wheels on there when I get the cash.

Yojimbo's says they have a 16t cog that will fit on the free hub body, but that I'll need an 1/8" single speed chain to pull it off. Does this make sense to everyone? This is my first build.

Why would you want to use a wheel that normally takes a cassette? YOu could use a thread-on BMX freewheel with some nice old rear wheel rather than dealing with a bunch of spacers on a freehub body on a newer more expensive wheel.

I really don't understand your current problem: campy cog vs. shimano cog- are you referring to a splined freehub body?

BTW- drive train parts come in either 3/32" (road) or 1/8" (track)

Ok word is it a Flip Flop hub. Cause on Flip ACS is king. Other Non you need a 1.5 Diameter freewheel. I think you should bring the wheel wherever you are getting the freewheel and try to see if it works. Spacing may be issue....Can fix with washers taking off and on the axle. Or slight frame manuevering. Dont redish the hub thats sucks!
