bike care after a fall or slid

Ok today I took a nice slide (3 yards about) with my bike (wet road, high down hill speed, break you get the idea) I am fine (I think I hurt my pride more then anything else, my hand took the most damage and it still is nothing) but what should I check on my bike to make sure nothing on it got damaged.

Ok today I took a nice slide (3 yards about) with my bike (wet road, high down hill speed, break you get the idea) I am fine (I think I hurt my pride more then anything else, my hand took the most damage and it still is nothing) but what should I check on my bike to make sure nothing on it got damaged.

I'd start out with the tires, wheels true, brakes not rubbing, then handlebars straight. Shifting ok. Look over the frame closely. Is the saddle twisted.

If it fell on the drive side, make sure the derailer hanger is not bent.
If the shifting is off -likely what happened.
