I've read in the road forum (not the best source of accurate info...LOL) that the new ultregra 10 FD requires a flat area ("dent") in the seat tube in order to work properly.

I never heard of such a thing.

Haha....Is there any truth to this?

Nope. Least not as far as the bikes I've seen with stock Ultegra 10 are concerned.

Haha....Is there any truth to this?Some frames with fat seattubes do require a indent in the frame for clearance,but this was before the ultegra 10. Someone has obviously been smoking carpet.

Didn't the old Teledyne Ti frame have a recessed "ring" where the FD was to be mounted?

Boy, I'm really dating myself on that one!
