I am about to purchase a headset for this build im doing.

I measured the head tube and the sizes are:

outer diameter - 1 1/2 inches
inside - 1 3/8 inches

does this sound right?

what size headset do i need? 1 1/8 inch threadless yes?

My wheels arrived today, fitted the rear, with the stunt pegs. Its starting to look good. I am awaiting my forks, seat clamp and chain.

Also, anyone know where i can get some nice blue street tyres?

If the frame is newer, than, say, 1995, you'll need a 1-1/8" headset. Or, if you don't know, you could simply take it to the bikeshop to see what you need. Wouldn't that be rather intelligent?

and yes it would be, if there was a bike shop here. and seeing as im busy packing to move house, i dont want to be travelling to the closest one which is a car journey away, and i dont drive.

dont worry i will be intelligent when im back in liverpool and i can find the LBS!

the frame seems to be unmarked, ive looked over and cant find any names =S it does look newer then '95 thought.

i was hoping from providing the headtube dimensions, someone could say fo' sure.

Beerman, go easy on this guy. He seems to be a total noob, rather than a total idiot. Set him straight from the word go, and he should end up being less annoying than the average fuzzy, girlpants wearing queens we see on here.

Pablo, get the 1 1/8" headset. If it doesn't fit, look for a new frame, and don't waste your time and money on that old school dog. If it fits, you're set.
