I don't ride at the moment, but I'll be back in a coupel more weeks; broken arms are a b1tch. Here's a few pictures of me from April, though:

Please, he's a dick like everyone else. :D At least give BMXTRIX some credit too. As for all the younger punks, you're certainly right. No one here that's over the age of about 17 is making fun of kids that are new. But we've only got so much tolerance for stupidity and laziness. How many times does the "What's the best bike" or "Which is better" thread get started by some noob?

I'm a photographer and importer. I don't do tricks. I ride my mountain bikes, and try to race my cruiser when I get the chance. Since it's winter, I don't get to ride too much. It's dark and cold when I get home from work, and lately it's been pissing down rain too. Sucks for riding. But I do agree, nothing really matters more than actually riding.

Cheers.

If you apologize, I won't call you stupid. You'll notice I quoted you, and highlighted your comment about Beerman in red. It's called sarcasm. Do I need to edit my post to make it a bit more clear?

Yeah, and if he didn't have a giant chip on his shoulder, he would have seen that, and gotten the sarcasm as well.

Some of the younger guys that have been here a while are just plain stupid, but most of them are starting to come around. I feel sorry for Beerman, as besides the broken arm, he's probably got a giant bruise on his forehead from slapping it so many times. As for me, I try to be helpful when it comes to stuff I know, but the new guys need to do a search before they start another redundant thread. And I have no tolerance for the needless name calling, and poor spelling and grammar.

S&M Slams, cut down to 25".

I've been pegless since, oh, Spring 2003? I put pegs on occasionally, though. Right before I got hurt, I was running a single JPEG Lite on the front right (for predator grinds and smith stalls), and was planning on putting a 2"-long Kink OG on the back right again.

Front peg, back pedal. For me, it's a switch predator grind since I have to reverse my feet to do them on the right.

wtf?

In the road bike forum, people spend countless hours arguing over the merits of things that simply should not be argued about, such as how much wax you should use on your chain, how often you should clean your bike, and clear-coating over the $100 sticker you put on your carbon-fiber mag wheel.

Please, don't be silly. There's no merit to Isis. If you wanna start a flamewar say something bad about Lance or start another Campy vs. Shimano thread. :D

Roadies are funny (I am one, in addition to being a flatlander and a fixed gear dork)...definitely older but I'm not sold on the 'more mature' just yet. ;)

I will cede them this point: they can type.

hypersnazz: Where do you usually ride flat in Santa Clara? There aren't too many of you guys out here. The only other ones know of are a couple guys at SJSU, John from Danville, Kerry Gatt (who moved away from Danville), and Chris from Brickhouse, who used to run the Felton skatepark.

I live super close to Great America so at the end of the work day I've got my pick of ACRES of shaded corporate parking lot to choose from.

I'm not real good...I've been riding a long time but always by myself; no one to really push me to spend time on the bike or learn new stuff. So if there's other flatlanders in the area I'd be stoked to meet some. It's hella fun, but it can be a pretty lonely sport.

I now have two pegs in the front for crooked or x up grinds, and one on my back right. I also have a 1 inch cheap peg that i sawed. i put it there to protect my axle

i ride every day, almost, as for the Predator grind isnt it the opposite of a LUC-E if Beerman was right and its front peg and rear pedal, since a LUC-E is a back peg and pedal?

No, because a Luc-E grind involves having your front axle dipped below the height of the ledge/rail/coping.

people are doing crazy things now. Today i found this rail with a kink on the end that would shoot you up like a ramp. this rail was down 5 long stairs, not very steep. This guy rides up to it. looks at it. hits it a few times. The last time he did it, he icepicked it and did a 180 out, not sure if it was a hard 180 or not . Amazing. I didn't even think it was possible on rails.
