i have the medium length horizontal dropouts on my pinarello conversion. it has the campy tension/axle adjusters but they just limit my adjustability. when screwed all the way out they still stop the axle well in front of the end of the dropout. is there any reason why i shouldn't just cut em off? they're driving me crazy.

Don't cut 'em. Uscrew the "nut" on the "outside" end, then unscrew 'em completely from the "inside" end and put em in a baggy for later re-use....
