Hello,

I have a his and hers Ted williams sears roebuck bicycles in fairly good condition just need to replace the tires and tubes an clean it up a little . Are these bikes worth anything today and did sears sell this bike and a 5 speed?. It has 26 1 3/8 tires with 2 forward wheel chain things I guess you know I don't know much about old bikes but any help would be great. Im just learning this craft and I thought this would be a bike to start with from my research I think it sold in the mid 70's
Thanks
jeff

Sears got its bikes from a variety of sources. I've seen some from Austria that had very nicely made frames. I owned a "low end" Sears bike made in Europe. The bike shop put new tires on it, but it was almost impossible to get the new tires off to change a flat.

It turned out that, although the old tires were "marked" 26 something, the rims were a tiny bit larger in diameter than the typical Schwinn or Raleigh rim of the '70's.

Any clues where your TW was made?

Hello,

Not seen anything on the frame to suggest where it was made but I will Look again
