I dont know how its spelt but it sounds like Sparter. I think they make tandems but I dont know about other bikes? If you know anything about them please reply.

They appear to have THE list of tandem manufacturer's. I did not see it on their list but take a pic of the label and see if they can help. Personally I have never heard of them.

I know a lot of tandem builders, and "Sparta" sometimes does them too, I believe.
Sparta is a Dutch-Based brand, specialized in all-day bicycles, nothing fancy.

Tell us when you found what it was you looked for?

It seems you know of who I'm talking about. I've been offered a Sparta "HR3" and I'm trying to find how much they normally cost but even though I now have the correct spelling I cant find any links! If you know of where I should look......

http://www.sparta.nl is there webaddress, but it's under construction now.

I guess you should always value a bike on it's state and componentry. Don't expect a race-quality frame on a Sparta, but then again, I'm not a real expert.

Did you try search engines on brand and model?
