The other lane is full of traffic. This isn't a mountain road. It's highway. You drive slow on this highway, you ending killing several people and getting arrested. You just want to somehow be superior. You aren't. Get over it.

Sounds like the problem is just too many cars. Get over it. Your point of view is flawed. Bikes are allowed to use the road.

Driving slow will cause you to kill people? You are mixed up buddy. You'r task as a driver is to control your vehicle and drive at a safe speed. The speed limit is the maximum allowed speed, not the minimum manditory speed. OB is right.

Once again, the basic speed law.

Basic Speed Law
22350. No person shall drive a vehicle upon a highway at a speed greater than is reasonable or prudent having due regard for weather, visibility, the traffic on, and the surface and width of, the highway, and in no event at a speed which endangers the safety of persons or property.

And yet you can not answer a couple of simple questions!

It seems that you are the one demanding superior rights to drive dangerously.

Hear, Hear, Word up, man.
I think we found ourselvs another car troll. Shure would be boring without em though.

Here is another similar quote I found:
War is Peace. Slavery is freedom. Ignorance is strength. Big brother is watching.

The cyclist should be bright enough not to put himself in harms way. Rather then ride down a high speed road with limited sight lines, find an alternative path.

Or is that to obvious?

Trayer350 (and Dobber, too) what if, instead of a kid, it had been a 4"X 4" piece of lumber that had fallen off a truck that was in your lane....would you have been able to avoid it? If you came around a curve at the posted speed and nearly collided with a cyclist, then both you and the local authorities are at fault....you for driving into conditions you can't see, and them for posting a speed too fast for the sightlines. Slow down when you come to a curve you can't see far enough around, and tell the local authorities to fix that dangerous spot by pruning the trees if they can or by posting a lower speed.

I won't stereotype conservative or liberal, being a political schizophrenic, but it is no surprise at all to read of a male motorist's violence towards a woman cyclist.

You won't stereotype? Love the irony.
