I am a newb at bmx and Ive seen some bikes with only 2 pegs. Dont you need four to do most tricks? If you have 2 pegs, one on the front right and one on the back right, what happens if I want to do a bar hop?(sit on the handlebars and stand on the front pegs) Remove the back peg and put it on the left front? sorry im new at this. lol

If you are trying flatland, 4 pegs are a must really... though some riders do flatland with no pegs at all. Very few.
For street and vert, some riders just use two pegs because they can only grind on one side and can't figure out how to use both sides of their bike. ;)
Dirt riders don't really have much to grind... don't ask me why dirt jumping bikes come with any pegs.
